DegreeMe is an AI-driven tool that guides students through personalized degree exploration. By leveraging advanced language models and retrieval-augmented generation, it provides tailored recommendations based on individual interests and career goals. My contributions focused on turning raw institutional data into a functional AI recommendation engine. This involved data engineering, prompt design, and iterative testing to ensure accurate, relevant outputs. The platform is now live, helping students make informed decisions about their educational paths. I also conducted deep research into the mathematics behind embeddings, developing methods to evaluate and improve recommendation quality by identifying under-represented programs and tuning the system to reduce misleading matches.
